Gold Sox Fall

07/12/2017 2:32 PM -

MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Marysville Gold Sox were shut down by Portland Pickles starting pitcher Matt Hardy in a 3-1 loss on Tuesday night. Hardy threw 8 innings for the Pickles, allowing just one run. His counterpart, Cruz Daddario was excellent on the mound for Marysville as he allowed just 2 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings of work. Daddario’s performance was not quite enough as the Gold Sox only run came in the 2nd inning on a Jaisten Cabatbat RBI single. The loss means the Gold Sox are now 2 ? games behind the Pickles for the final playoff spot in the GWL.

The Yuba City Bears lost 9-1 in a game in which the Lincoln Potters jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning. Kaelan Crisosto led the Bears with 2 hits and a run scored.

Yuba City will be back in Lincoln on Wednesday to face the Potters in the final game of a 2-game series. The Marysville Gold Sox will look to bounce back at Colusa Casino Stadium on Wednesday in the 2nd game of a 3-game series with the Pickles.
