Gold Sox Beat Bears in Walk-Off Fashion

MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Marysville Gold Sox outlasted the Yuba City Bears in a 14-inning thriller on Friday Night to win 4-3. Tanner Siebel was the hero as he hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 14th inning that scored Jason Dicochea from second. The Bears clinged to a 3-1 lead for much of the game but the Gold Sox were able to even the game in the 8th inning and ultimately win it in the 14th. The deadlock would have been broken much sooner had it not been for the outstanding relief pitching performance from Yuba City’s Dalton Bishop as he worked his way out of numerous jams. Casey O’Sullivan picked up the win for the Gold Sox as he threw the final three innings without allowing a run.

The Twin City Rivalry Series will conclude Saturday night at 7:05 PM. A fireworks extravaganza presented by Feather Falls Casino Brewing Company will follow the game. American Flags will also be given out to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The Marysville Gold Sox clinched a series victory winning their 7th game of the 12-game series as they now lead the series 7 games to 4.
